Stay Cable System

VSL Stay Cable System

VSL has developed a modular stay cable system to meet the stringent requirements demanded for the design, construction and maintenance of cable-stayed and suspended bridges, and cable system roof structures.

VSL's Stay Cable technology is being constantly developed to reflect the evolution of sophisticated engineering requirements. It provides high fatigue resistance, excellent corrosion protection, and cable force monitoring, as well as strand adjustability, inspectability and replaceability. VSL's latest developments allow faster cable installation and erection times.

The VSL Stay Cable system comprises individually protected strands and adjustable and fixed anchorages. Its principle, based on the total independence of the strands, ensures:

  • an unlimited number of strands;
  • independent strand anchoring;
  • individual strand corrosion protection;
  • individual strand erection, stressing, dismantling and replacement.

In addition to its high quality and performance, the VSL Stay Cable system can also be equipped with the new VSL anti-vibration systems.
